Galloping Acrobatics was among star attractions at Monday’s May Day gala.
The event, at Clarence Park Arena, was the group’s first show of the year, and crowds gathered in the sun to see riders perform gymnastics on horeseback.

John Proctor and Son organised the annual bank holiday event. A nature safari with snakes and guinea pigs and a motorbike display were among other highlights.
The free day also included live music, majorette dancing, trade stands and craft stalls, a bouncy castle, bungee trampolines and a family fun fair.
People could have their photographs taken with cartoon characters, and there was also donkey rides, face painting, fairground attractions and a falconry display to enjoy.
