Majority of parents in Wakefield have secure first choice primary school for their child.

Parents across the city with youngsters starting reception class in September find out today (Monday) which school they have been allocated.

Parents were asked to submit their top five preferences before mid-January this year. Though the proportion of families getting their first choice schools in Wakefield has slightly increased from 92.1 per cent last year, a total of 356 children have missed out on their parents’ number one choice.
