The two men burst into the shop, on Leeds Road, Dewsbury, at around 12.40pm yesterday (June 1).

They demanded money from the pensioner, who runs the shop, before going behind the counter and pushing her over.

She fell back on a chair and the intruders stole money and ran off.

Police said the victim was not hurt.

The first suspect was a white, aged between 19-20, of slim to medium build and 5ft 7ins tall with blonde hair.

He was wearing a dark jacket and beanie hat with his face covered.

The second suspect was also white, aged between 19 and 21, of slim to medium build, with blonde hair and his face was also covered.

He was wearing a navy or dark coloured jacket and a hat.

Sergeant Steven Hinchcliffe, from Dewsbury Partnership Working Area, said: “This was an incredibly distressing incident for this elderly lady who has run this shop for many years - thankfully she was uninjured.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who saw these suspects or noticed anything suspicious to contact the police to help with our investigation.
