Met Office warn of 70mph winds for West Yorkshire
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for strong winds across the area this weekend.
A yellow ‘be aware’ warning said frequent gusts of up to 70mph are likely across West Yorkshire.
The Met Office said: “A very vigorous depression is expected to bring very strong westerly winds to many northern and central parts of the UK on Saturday. Gusts of 60-70 mph are likely quite widely. The winds should gradually ease from the west later in the day.
“The public should be aware that disruption to transport and possibly power supplies could occur.”
