Ambitious plans to transform the former Allinson’s Mill in Castleford into an arts and heritage centre will be unveiled for the first time this weekend.
Castleford Heritage Trust has been working with students from Leeds Metropolitan University to develop plans to convert the building.
The plans will be on display at an open day at the mill on Aire Street on Saturday and remain on show until the end of July.
Alison Drake, Trust chairwoman, said: “The potential of the mill is enormous and the students have come up with some fantastic ideas to make the most of it. We want Queen’s Mill to be a showcase not only for the best of Castleford’s history but also to play a big part in the town’s future.”
The open day runs from 10am to 3pm.
