South Elmsall councillor Steve Tulley put forward a motion that members should be allowed to debate the Cabinet’s decision to close the pool in full council.

An amendment, by Coun David Dagger, agreed with Coun Tulley and also stated that a petition against the pool closure and representations made by local organisations would be part of a review of leisure facilities across the district.
