A MUM who went missing on Christmas Eve has been traced by police and is said to be “safe and well.”

As reported in the Express last week, great-grandmother Elizabeth Ann Pearson, 57, left the family bungalow on Airedale’s Park Dale estate following a row with her husband David Pearson.

Her heartbroken family made a desperate plea for information about her whereabouts, and on Tuesday a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said Mrs Pearson had been traced and the force was “happy that she was safe and well.”

Mr Pearson, 62, who reported his wife missing on December 26, said: “I am very happy she has been found safe and well and that has certainly made the whole family rest a little easier.

“We have been distraught and struggled through the last couple of weeks but hopefully, with time, things will get better for all of us.”
