Most Haunted Live to film Halloween special at Pontefract’s 30 East Drive

The show will be screened on Really and former X factor contestant Rylan Clark will be among the celebrities taking part in the show.

Throughout the evening they will be joined by special guests including Paul O’Grady.

Presenter Yvette Fielding will lead the investigative team through the house as they look for signs of Pontefract’s most famous poltergeist - the Black Monk.

Mrs Fielding said: “This will be the first time the fans can really get involved in the show.

“It’s perfect for Halloween so if people want to hide behind their cushion and turn all the lights off then this is the show to tune into. If this doesn’t scare them, nothing will.”

During the show Mr Clark will be joined by in studio guests to discuss both the events as they unfold and the history of the Chequerfield house.

Mr Clark said: “I’m a big Most Haunted fan so it’s amazing to be co-hosting this live Halloween special.

“I like a Halloween that’s full of more treats than tricks so I’m hoping for a friendly ghost. Although I’m not banking on it.

“What I do know is that it’s going to be a big night, I’m going to try to be brave and I’m glad that we’re all in it together.

The show, which will last three-and-a-half hours, will be screened on satellite channel Really on Saturday, October 31 from 9pm.
