Overnight roadworks on M1 and M62

The southbound exit slip road at junction 41 at Carr Gate on the M1 will be closed overnight on Monday.

The northbound carriage from junction 40 at Flushdyke to junction 41 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday.

And the southbound entry slip road at junction 40 will be closed overnight on Wednesday.

Roadworks will also take place at junction 32 at Pontefract on the M62.

The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for technology works on Tuesday.

All the closures are part of the smart motorways works, which aims to reduce congestion by using technology to vary speed limits.

The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and motorists will be able to followed signed diversion routes.
