The junction 36 entry and exit and junction 37 exit slip roads will be closed between 8pm and 6am. There will also be lane closures in place on the main carriageway.

Work on the southbound carriageway between junction 38 at Haigh and junction 37 will take place from October 23 to November 1.

The junction 38 exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am while these works are carried out.

Tim Calvert, Highways Agency project manager, said: “This is essential carriageway maintenance work which will improve the road surface and provide new road markings.

“The work will require lane and slip road closures, which will also be used to cut back overhanging trees and shrubs, improving visibility of traffic signals and signage for drivers along this route, and reducing the need for future lane closures.”
