“My episode got lot of coverage, I got to have a full day of filming, I came up with the hastag #dimples and it went viral on instagram on twitter, my episode was talked about on loose women recently.

“My wedding dress is just hanging up and I thought about what I could do to help the local care home that means so much to me, so I decided to walk up and down the village in my dress.”

Mel is very close to the residents and staff at Walton Manor care home, as she used to work there.

Mel said: “It’s such a scary time for everyone, residents and staff included, I’ve seen first hand how hand how hard the carers work and they don’t get enough gratitude.

It’s easy to forget that it’s the carers, who stay with residents when they’re sick and feeling down.

“If a resident was to catch corona, carers can’t risk taking them to the hospitals, so the carers will stay isolated with the service users.

“I’m trying to get as much donations and shares as I possibly can, what they choose to do with the money is up to the care home, whether it be equipment or something for residents when it’s over.

“I wanted to help them and make them see that we all appreciate what they all do.”
