Castleford cafe looks forward to a brighter New Year as tiers mean business must stay closed

A popular Castleford cafe is hoping for a happier and healthier 2021 as current rules meant it had to remain closed.

Queen’s Mill Tea Rooms in Castleford decided current rules made returning unviable .

Owner Dana Russell reopened the cafe on Yorkshire Day – August 1 – but the lockdown and Tier 3 restrictions mean they cannot yet reopen.

Dana said: “We are raring to go and looking forward to opening as soon as we can 2021.

“We have lots of events planned including, themed nights, jazzy brunches and crafty afternoon teas.

“We are excited about launching our new website very soon with lots of information about what’s happening at Queen’s Mill tearooms.

“We can’t wait to see customers old and new and welcome them to a happier, healthier new year.”
