Further consultation on huge solar farm planned

The scheme, which could power up to 12,000 homes, is being planned on 50 hectares of land off Barnsdale Road and is expected to be put before Leeds City Council planning committee in the coming months.

Bank Renewables, which is behind the project, will be hosting the online consultation event from 6pm on Wednesday, March 3, to update residents and answer questions.

Lewis Stokes, community relations manager said: “Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, we’ve been able to share a lot of information across local communities.

“We’re holding this latest event to ensure that residents and stakeholders are fully up-to-date with recent progress.”
