Have your say in shaping the future of Pontefract

Plans to shape the future of Pontefract are being drawn up and Wakefield Council is looking for your help on what needs to be done to reconnect the city.

The plans will look at lost links between Pontefract town centre, the surrounding communities and key local assets such as the castle, racecourse and the new leisure hub under construction in Pontefract Park. Proposals will be available to view at Pontefract Library from Saturday, February 8 until Sunday, February 23.

A launch event will be held at Pontefract Library, February 8 from 10am until 4pm to introduce the work. Officers will also be available to discuss the plans Monday, February 10, 4pm to 7pm, Tuesday, February 11, 10am to 2pm, Wednesday, February 12, 10am to 2pm, Friday, February 14, 10am to 2pm.
