Kind-hearted officers deliver flowers to Knottingley’s most vulnerable
The 30 bunches of daffodils, donated by Morrisons, had initially been intended for the children of the police-run weekly community sports sessions to take home for their mums for Mothers’ Day.
But after the sessions were cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, they chose to drop the flowers off at 30 people’s homes, along with an accompanying letter from the police and contact details of the local PCSO in case people want help in getting emergency supplies or just have a reassuring chat.

“It is hoped that this will be echoed by other members of the community throughout Knottingley and the surrounding areas.
“If you know anyone who may be vulnerable then please safely reach out to them.
“It may only be a few minutes of your time but will in most cases be massive to those who are on their own and brighten their day.”
