Lifelong Leeds United supporter from Wakefield reunited with away day plaques

A lifelong Leeds United supporter from Wakefield has been reunited with two plaques that used to sit in the front of Whites away day coaches.

Joe Brandi is known in Wakefield for running a successful ice cream business, his work helping charities like Wakefield Hospice, and his passionate love of Leeds United.

In the week that Leeds returned to the top flight of English football, two plaques that Joe commissioned around 40 years ago were found in the cellar of the Black Rock pub in the centre of Wakefield and returned to their rightful owner.

Joe's sister Rosanna said: "Even as a teenager he went across Europe to follow them, he never misses a game. They are his life

"He has found it so hard to not watch Leeds play. He's always at one friend's or another watching football . It is his passion."
