Multi-vehicle crash on M1 at Wakefield

A crash on the M1 at Wakefield is causing significant delays this morning.

One lane is closed on the M1 northbound between J41 A650 (Carr Gate) and J42 (Lofthouse) with up to six miles of traffic back to J39 (Wakefeild/Durkar).

The crash is believed to have involved a car and a van.

Police have closed one lane while recovery works take place and paramedics are on scene.
