Pizza challenge a bite too far for pro eater
Adam Moran, who lives in the Castleford area, has amassed a huge global online following in recent years watching him take down seemingly-impossible eating challenges, including massive mixed grills, monster breakfasts and titanic takeaways.
But even with his incredible appetite, he struggled to finish off the 3.3 ft-long pizza created by the Yorkshire Deli on Wakefield’s Northgate.

Hide AdAlex Lawlor, who runs the business said: “He approached us on Instagram after seeing the metre-long pizza and he wanted to try eating one.
“Seeing what he can eat on his videos, we thought he would be able to do it easily, but we defeated him!”
The dough-based behemoth costs £40 and is usually shared between six people.
Timing himself, Adam stopped the clock at 44 minutes, clearly in discomfort and admitting: “I can’t do it, I surrender. I’m so close too!”

Hide AdThe video on his YouTube channel, Beard Meats Food - named after his own long beard - has been watched more than 300,000 times since being posted last week.
He has almost 1 million subscribers to his channel on which he posts weekly attempts to complete food challenges.
His work takes him across the globe where he enters eating competitions.
Some of his videos have been watched up to five million times.

Hide AdFor the Yorkshire Deli, which is about to open a second shop in Leeds’ Victoria Gate, the metre-long pizzas are proving popular, having delivered 11 of them last week as they continue to trade in takeaway food until lockdown lifts.
They are now considering opening up the metre-long pizza challenge when they finally re-open, which will be free to anyone can complete the calorie-laden task.
