Pontefract musician makes it into the UK Top 40 Club Charts with latest single

A homegrown musician is currently sitting at number 10 in the UK Upfront Club Chart Top 40 with his most recent release

Lewis Axall, 27, who goes by his stage name ‘AXALL’, teamed up with Leeds-based dance musician, SJAY Music, to mix the track, 'Dreamed of'.

Within just two weeks of the singles release, it made its way into the UK Upfront Club Chart Top 40, where it now sits at a proud number 10 position alongside some of the biggest names in dance music.

AXALL said: “I’ve been writing music all my life but until recently I’ve never done anything about it.

“So when lockdown happened I messaged SJAY and asked if he could make me a backing track for the song.

“I told him the genre and the sound I wanted to achieve and I recorded the vocal part at the studio not long after that.

“It’s been going up the charts ever since.”

The duo recorded the track in November last year and released it officially in December.

With 450,000 streams and 2,700 features on different Spotify playlists, ‘Dreamed Of’ continues to climb the national club charts.

AXALL said: “It went mad, I woke up one day and had loads of messages off people saying the song had got into the charts.

“I couldn't believe it when I saw it got to number 29 in the club top 40 and it’s been going up every week since.

“I just want to say thanks to all the fans who have shared it and helped it build and hopefully I’ll be jumping on stage soon.”
