The Barn Kitchen at Blacker Hall Farm Shop will reopen its doors to customers on Saturday, serving its Yorkshire Afternoon Tea menu.

Formally known as the ‘Barn Café’, the award-winning Wakefield based Farm Shop has spruced up its cafe during lockdown is re-opening with a brand-new name.

Customers will be able to pre-book a table to enjoy their popular Yorkshire Afternoon Tea seven days a week between 12pm and 4pm in the historic barn.

Take-away Afternoon Tea boxes remain available for customers to collect from the Farm Shop and Drive Thru, and breakfast and lunch items are available from The Farm Shop’s

Food to Go Counter and can be enjoyed in the Courtyard Café area or one of the outdoor picnic areas.

Managing Director Edward Garthwaite is thrilled to be welcoming back guests to The Barn Kitchen.

He said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests back to The Barn Kitchen at Blacker Hall Farm.

"For our reopening we will focus on our guest favourite Afternoon Tea, which our Pastry Chefs and Bakers produce, using local Yorkshire produce and ingredients.

"Our biggest concern however, is making sure we are keeping people safe and we have put measures in place including a one-way system, hand sanitising, extra cleaning throughout,

as well as social distancing between tables to ensure we can keep our team and customers as safe as possible.”
