Danny Milnes, a Rhinos fan and PE teacher at New Collaborative Learning Trust, was inspired by the heroic efforts of Rob and Kevin and decided to complete the challenge too and now has over 80 runners signed up to join in.

He said:" I believed that because of Covid people needed an aim or a goal to work towards for their own wellbeing in lockdown three, and for people to enjoy running to continue to after the event.

"I set this up solely alone and then asked a few friends to donate £10 and get sponsors to join me but then I opened it up to the community as well as family and friends."

Danny has raised around £3,500 so far but is aiming for £7,000.

"I am feeling good," he said. "I have trained since January, trying to set weekly challenges to all runners to hit certain targets on the run up to the main event." Danny said.

"We have raised online and sponsor forms in the region of £3,500, our aim is £7,000 which is ambitious but I am hopeful."

Danny will begin the challenge Monday, February 15.
