The hospice has now reopened 10 of its 12 stores and is now looking for volunteers to keep them running.

Across the hospice’s retail arm, around 730 volunteer hours are needed each and every week to help to run the shops.

Kevin Hogarth, Retail Operations Manager at the Hospice said: “We’re so pleased we’ve been able to reopen a number of our shops and begin to raise vital funds for the hospice again.

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible support of our community, in terms of sales, and stock donations.

“We urgently need volunteers to support our thriving shops so we can continue to maximise sales and income to support people in our community with life limiting illnesses.”

The proceeds made in store will go towards caring for those with illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic heart and lung disease.

The hospice assures that opportunities are varied and flexible and just a few hours each week could make all the difference.

Covid-secure strict procedures are in place within the stores to ensure the safety of volunteering staff.
