Pharmacies open on New Year’s Day

Lloyds Pharmacy, at Trinity Medical Centre, Thornhill Street, Wakefield, will be open from 10am until 2pm.

Sainsbury’s Pharmacy at the Trinity Walk shopping centre will be open from 10am until 5pm.

Asda Pharmacy on Asdale Road will be open from 10am until 4pm.

Exel Chemist on High Street, Normanton, will be open from 10am until noon.

Lloyds Pharmacy on High Street, Normanton, will be open from 10am until 2pm.

Asda on Leeds Road, Glass Houghton, from 10am until 4pm.

Lloyds Pharmacy on Carlton Street, Castleford, will be open from 10am until 4pm.

GPs have reminded patients who have repeat prescriptions to collect their medication.

People are also asked to avoid going to A&E unless their condition is urgent. For non-urgent help call 111.
