Organiser Joanne Bulmer, from School House Farm at Sharlston, said: “The sunshine wasn’t expected and we were delighted it came out. Everyone turned up in droves as usual and it was a brilliant, brilliant day. It’s really quite a scene when everyone lines the streets. I’d like to thank all our sponsors and all committee members who run the event.”

The air ambulance helicopter made an appearance at the event but had to leave to go out on an emergency call. YAA volunteer Tracy Gregory, who plays a leading role in fundraising at the event, said: “When the helicopter had to leave I think it really hit home what an important job it has to do – it went to save a life and that’s what it there for. “The whole day was fantastic, the atmosphere is amazing and the public absolutely love it.”
