The man was white, aged 25-35, around five feet eight inches tall, and of a slim, muscular build.

He had brown eyes, short brown hair and a stubbly goatee beard. He was found wearing a white t-shirt, white Adidas trainers with burgunday stripes and three-quarter lenght blue denim trousers.

The man also had a distinctive tattoo on his right forearm in gothic lettering, appearing to spell ‘TER’, a left ear piercing and a missing right upper tooth.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

BTP Detective Inspector Mick Dawes said: “It is really important that we establish the man’s identity to allow us to inform his family and this is why I am asking for the public’s help.

“The man had no identification on him and we have been working closely with West Yorkshire Police but so far no-one missing in the local area fits the man’s description.

“This man is someone’s son, and maybe a brother, father or friend. We are really hopeful that someone may recognise him from the image.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016 quoting reference 538 of 12/6/2015.
