Faces old and new in changes proposed for council's cabinet

Wakefield Council has proposed changes to its cabinet member positions for 2018/19.

The cabinet member positions will stay the same but there are some changes to the Cabinet member assistants.

Coun Michelle Collins will become the deputy cabinet member for Adults and Health. Coun Michael Graham will take up post as deputy cabinet member for Corporate Services and Coun Jack Hemmingway will become the deputy cabinet member for Environment and Communities.

Coun Peter Box, Leader of Wakefield Council, said: “I would like to welcome all the new members joining the cabinet team.

“We continue to face challenging times but I am confident that this team has the knowledge, enthusiasm and experience needed to serve the district well.”

Environment and Communities – Coun Maureen Cummings

Corporate Services – Coun Les Shaw.
