Protests against zero hour contracts for fast food workers
The Fast Food Right campaign, initiated by the Baker’s, Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU) will protest outside McDonalds on Kirkgate, Wakefield at 2pm.
And in Pontefract town centre at the Buttercross.
Protesters will leaflet staff about the campaign, informing them of their rights.

Hide AdThey will also be speaking to members of the public about working conditions in the industry and hearing speeches from BFAWU and Youth Fight for Jobs activists.
Sam Vickers, BFAWU organising regional secretary, said: “Fast food workers have been unfairly treated for years.
“We aim to stop this unfair treatment by ending zero hour contracts, fighting for a living wage of £10 per hour and ending the youth rates of pay.
“This can be achieved by fast food workers joining the BFAWU and supporters joining the campaign.”
