Members of Ackworth and District Riding Club celebrated their most successful championship weekend ever at Lincolnshire showground, riding home with many rosettes.
The club competed in the NAF British Riding Club National Championships last weekend.
Senior, Alex Johnson, riding It’s Romeo came away as style jumping champion.
Other seniors participating in the championships – Maggie Smith on Moulin Rouge, Chloe Carnevale on Bertie Bassett and Lizzie Reid on Newmiln Laksidaisikal – narrowly missed out on rosette positions.
The junior novice show jumping team, made up of Leila Edwards, Edward Hardy, Ella Richardson and Isobel Hardy took fourth place and the intermediate team – Eliza Yeardley, Bryony Lugton, Victoria Wilson and Chloe Naismith – took fifth place.
Eliza went on to claim reserve champion in the individual jump off and third place in the 85cm style jumping class.
The club’s junior style team – Eliza, Bryony, Leila and Emily Blaxhill – also did well to brave slippery conditions in the jumping ring.
Sheila Rogerson, club chairwoman, said: “I think all our members were a huge credit to the club. We are very proud of their achievements.”
