Safety concerns after youths seen ‘free running’ in Pontefract

Police in Pontefract say they are concerned for the safety of youngsters who have been seen “free running” in the town.

Officers from Pontefract and Knottingley neighbourhood police team (NPT) said they have had a number of reports of young people climbing onto and running along the roofs of buildings.

Police said that no-one had been injured but they were concerned for the safety of those taking part.

The activity involves people climbing buildings, running along roof tops and jumping gaps.
