Colourful creations will brighten up Methley next weekend as the village holds its annual scarecrow festival on June 1 and 2.
Around 60 scarecrows will grace gardens at homes throughout the village, this year with the theme adverts past and present.
Methley Community Centre will also be open, from 10am to 4pm both days, with refreshments, tombola and raffle, with all the money raised going to Methley and Mickletown in Bloom.
Joanne Lund, one of the organisers, said: “It gets bigger and bigger each year, and we normally raise between £2,000 and £2,500 for flowers for the village.”
Maps of the scarecrow trail will be available from Methley Post Office and the community centre, and many villagers will also open up their gardens to serve refreshments during the festival.
