Crowds were drawn to Castleford town centre on Saturday to visit the many activities taking place at the summer seaside event.
Following the success of the Wakefield seaside day, Castleford was treated to its very own seaside haven.
The high street was transformed into a large beach where families could build sandcastles or sit back and relax on their deckchairs.
There were also traditional Punch and Judy shows being performed throughout the day and the children could even enjoy a free donkey ride through the town.
Many free workshops were available for families to get stuck into, such as face painting and circus workshops.
A number of street entertainers were on hand to brighten up the day, with pirates and lobsters walking around on stilts.
@RevPLane tweeted about the event: “A little trip to #CastlefordSeaside yesterday. A fabulous time! Well done to Wakefield events team.”
