And Year 6 teacher, Luke Poppleton, along with Year 4 teacher, Tom Handley, had the audience in hysterics with their roles as ugly sisters, Nasty and Gusty.

The show is a modern pantomime twist on the traditional fairytale, set in a world of fame and celebrity culture.

The story follows Rocky (Rockerfella), the number one popstar, who is tired of being in the spotlight and sets out on a quest to find true love and settle down with the girl of his dreams.

Mrs Kitching, school business manager, said: “The performances went really well; parents and grandparents were impressed and enjoyed the show and the kids absolutely loved doing it.”

The performances took place at the school, at Ash Tree Gardens, Normanton, on Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon.
