Emmerdale actor Tony Audenshaw visited Pontefract Family Centre as part of its ‘snowball prom’ last month.
Mr Audenshaw - who plays Bob Hope in the ITV soap - dressed up as Santa and handed out gifts before joining in the karaoke and signing autographs.
People at the event dressed up as their favourite Hollywood star or celebrity and played Christmas games.
The Harropwell Lane centre is a charity that provides opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. It runs a variety of activities, including drama, sports, cooking, gardening, art and photography as well as groups for reading, fishing, Makaton and bowling.
Catherine Horbury, who volunteers there, organised the event after getting in touch with Emmerdale and said she would like to thank Tony Audenshaw for helping make the prom a success.
She said: “I really enjoyed myself and I am glad that I have got Tony involved with us here at the Pontefract Family Centre and I have shown everyone my talent by getting into contact with soap star celebrities.”
