FOUR men have been arrested in connection with a road traffic accident on Southgate in Pontefract.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed a stolen Ford Ka was involved in a collision with a lamppost on the central reservation at 2.40am today (Friday November 4).

The vehicle was taken from Grove Lea Walk in Pontefract at around 5.45pm yesterday (Thursday November 3).

It is believed the four men who were arrested – two aged 20, one 19 and one 21 – were the passengers in the car.

They were taken to hospital and one man has serious but not life threatening injuries.

Inquiries are ongoing.
