Sports car smashes into lamppost on Neil Fox Way
A sports car met an unfortunate end in Wakefield yesterday after hitting a lamppost.
The silver Porsche had to be recovered from Neil Fox Way - the new Wakefield Eastern Relief Road - after being left undriveable when the driver’s side wheel and wing were left badly damaged.
It is not thought the driver was badly injured and from the photo taken by West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, it appears the airbags were deployed.
In a Tweet, the police described it as an “expensive mistake”.
