Teenager suffers serious injuries in embankment fall
A teenage boy suffered serious back injuries after falling down a disused railway embankment in Normanton.
Emergency services were called to the incident, just off the Normanton bypass, on Saturday afternoon.
The 13-year-old boy had been playing with friends when he fell down the embankment.
Police closed the bypass for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to land and transport the boy to hospital.
