VOLUNTEERS’ Week this week is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the amazing work that Stroke Association volunteers in Yorkshire and the Humber do, and I would like to thank every one of them for their support.
Our 5,000 volunteers help people to deal with the impact of stroke, campaign to improve care, fundraise, help to raise awareness by giving presentations and support other volunteers.
We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this year and there are lots of events and activities to raise awareness about stroke. We couldn’t do all this on our own and our volunteers have all played a part in making these things possible.
Together we are changing the world for people affected by stroke. So thank you once again from Stroke Association and everyone involved in helping to raise awareness of stroke.
