Theives steal a hot air balloon

Two suspects drove to Normanton Golf Club on a quad bike at around 10pm on Monday, January 11.

They broke the lock on a storage container at the club and attached a trailer, which had the balloon on it, to their bike. The thieves then drove off towing the trailer.

The white, red and blue balloon belonged to The Morson Group and was used for the company’s charity events.

A spokesman said: “The police are handling the situation although any information that might help to locate hot air balloon is welcomed.”
