KYLIE Minogue’s choreographer Tim Noble hip hopped it into Airedale Academy to teach pupils how to dance like the diva herself.
Direction Dance, an Airedale-based dance company, organised the day of workshops with the celebrity dance instructor for pupils at the Crewe Road school.
Mr Noble, who runs dance workshop company Purestar Productions, said: “All the children have worked so hard and I am so happy with their performances.
“It is all about inspiring the pupils and teaching them a little bit about the industry as well.
“I worked with Kylie on her Fever and Show Girl tours and she is fantastic.”
The vigorous workshops were held on Tuesday and Mr Noble taught groups of pupils aged between 11 and 16 with varying abilities.
Paul Wilkins, manager of Direction Dance, said: “We hope the workshops at the school will encourage the talented and gifted pupils at Airedale Academy to join the dance group we already have set up at the school.”
The company runs Young Dimensions for pupils aged 13 to 19 and they have competed at a number of local and regional competitions.
Rachel Nickerson, head of dance at Airedale Academy who joined in the workshops with the youngsters, said: “It has been absolutely inspiring, the children have been challenged to break out of their comfort zones and maybe try something new.”
Around 60 pupils took part in the workshops during which they learned a range of commercial dance routines.
