Staff at a Castleford charity say they are ‘sickened’ after thieves swiped computer equipment and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Yobs struck Airedale Computers on Stansfield Road on Sunday night, stealing £3,000 worth of computer tablets and monitors.
Keith Sorrell, development manager, said damage to the building will “run into thousands”, costing the estate £10,000 in cash which would have been pumped into funding community projects.
Mr Sorrell, who set up the social enterprise in 2002, said: “It’s sickening, because everything we do is for charity. It’s all for this community and those people have just cost the community £10,000.”
