The Ofsted report, published on June 11, said: “Staff find out about children’s personalities, play interests and ways in which they engage with other children and the environment. They know children incredibly well and are extremely nurturing in their care. Children settle exceptionally quickly and form very close and trusting relationships with all staff.”

Inspectors said that staff at the nursery prepare children for school by helping them develop new skills.

The report said: “Children thoroughly enjoy their play and are motivated learners.

“They make excellent progress from their starting points. Children benefit greatly from the opportunity to spend time in small groups, where they build up their confidence and self-assurance.

“Children develop many skills to prepare them emotionally for their move on to school.”
