Crash brings traffic on M62 to a standstill as motorway is closed

Highways England has reported there is over five miles of congestion on the M62 motorway this morning after a crash between a lorry and van.

The crash happened earlier this morning and the M62 is now closed between J24 (Ainley Top) and J22 (A672).

Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

Traffic is being diverted and there are long delays in the area.
