Horse on the M1 at Wakefield causes rush hour traffic chaos
The sliproad to the M1 at Carr Gate has re-opened after a horse was reportedly on the loose.
Traffic had begun to build on the southbound carriageway after the police cordoned off the area before 7.30am.
It was reported that the queues snaked as far back as J43.
Traffic was held between 7.45am and 8.10pm while the horse was safely moved.
