Lines into Wakefield re-open after lightning strike
The train lines into Wakefield Westgate have now re-opened after an overnight lightning strike.
The storms damaged a signal box and cause major disruption to service in and out of Wakefield this morning.
Replacement bus services were put on from Knottingley while other services had to be re-routed or cancelled.
Northern rail services says trains are now returning to normal although it could be 11am before the disruption is cleared.
