Female cut from overturned car in Castleford

The accident happened on Queen's Park Drive shortly after 10am.

Crews from Castleford and Pontefract attended and had to release the female from the wreckage.

She was then transported to hospital by ambulance. Her condition is not known at this time.

A technical rescue unit was mobilised but not required.

Reports suggest the road is still blocked with traffic backed up.
