Pensioner who died after falling from bridge on M62 is named

The man has who died after falling from a bridge on the M62 on Monday has been named.

Pensioner Barry Richardson Hick, 72, died when he fell from a bridge on to the westbound carriageway between junction 26 at Chain Bar and junction 25 at Brighouse at around 3.30pm.

Mr Richardson, who is from Liversedge, died at the scene. An inquest into his death is expected to be opened next Tuesday.

Police have said enquiries are ongoing.

The westbound carriageway was closed until 6.30pm following the incident, causing huge tailbacks.
