Police are warning motorists to avoid the M62,

They have closed both lanes of the motorway between junctions 22 and 23.

Officers were called to an address on Saddleworth Road, Halifax, at 4.09pm today (Tuesday) after becoming concerned for the safety of man.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The road has been closed as officers deal with an on going incident. The closure is having a significant impact on the motorway and officers are advising motorists to avoid it if at all possible.”
