Travellers set up camp on former Castleford tip
Travellers have set up camp on the former household recycling centre in Castleford.
The caravans moved onto the former Cinder Lane tip on Thursday night.
Glynn Humphries, Wakefield Council’s service director for environment and streetscene, said “On Thursday night travellers in 10 caravans set up camp on the old recycling centre at Cinder Lane, Castleford.
“First thing this morning we attended the site and have started the necessary legal action to move the travellers.”
