Trust fund in Imogen’s memory to help young actors

The family of teenager Imogen Young have launched a trust fund to allow a youngster to train at her former production company.

Imogen, 15, of Upton, who was killed in a road traffic accident in Ackworth in 2011, was training at the Northern Film and Drama training school.

Now, her family and management at the centre, have teamed up to offer a scholarship place for a budding actor.

Alyson Connew, creative director at Northern Film and Drama, said: “Imogen was a very talented actress and singer and her family wanted to enable other students to receive singing or drama lessons and create opportunities for them which may otherwise be out of reach.”

Initial auditions will take place at Castleford Academy on Wednesday, October 14 and October 21 from 6pm until 8pm. For more information contact 07932 653466.
