TWO top directors are leaving the trust which runs Pinderfields Hospital in the latest change of management at the organisation.

Tracey McErlain-Burns, chief nurse and director of quality, and medical director Tim Hendra are leaving Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust to take up new roles in the health service.

Mid Yorkshire has appointed Richard Jenkins, currently clinical director for medicine, as acting medical director and Kate Harper, the current deputy chief nurse, as acting director of nursing and quality.

Last week three new non-executive directors, Pat Garbutt, Trevor Lake and Rosie Valerio, were appointed at Mid Yorkshire following a mass resignation from its board as its financial crisis deepened.

The trust is forecast to be £26m in deficit at the end of the year and is facing major reorganisation to balance its books.
